The Empathy of Jesus
What is the difference between empathy and sympathy? Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Whereas sympathy is feeling compassion, sorrow, or pity for the hardships that another person encounters (1) Jesus’s empathy for us (2) Our relationship with Jesus (3) Showing empathy to others He was tempted (Matt 4:1-11) He fed the hungry and healed the sick (Matt 14:13-21) He raised the dead (John 11:1-44) He went to the cross (Matt 26 and 27)
