He is extremely proud to be a "sandgroper" and loves his WA sporting teams, especially the graceful Freo Dockers who have shown great humility over the past few seasons. Apart from praying for God's people, he also keeps his mighty Dockers in his prayers and looks forward to their first premiership...one day!

He is very happily married to his beautiful wife Tran and they live in the beautiful city of perfect Perth with their three children, Oliver, Cameron and Matilda.

At the centre of God’s mission is bringing reconciliation and redemption to a fallen creation. This centre is found in the person of Jesus Christ. In Jesus we experience the grace of God, the love of God, the justice of God the compassion of God, the mercy of God, the holiness of God, and the patience of God. It is in this Gospel that we see the vivid and comprehensive demonstration of God’s glory.

So, at Sonlife church, we are all about following the way of Jesus. We want to know him, be like him and draw others to him. That is our mission!

The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) provides governance, oversight, and strategic leadership for Sonlife Church. Serving on behalf of our church community, they oversee significant financial, legal, operational, and property-related matters, helping to faithfully steward the resources God has entrusted to Sonlife and support the ongoing mission of the church.

We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God as originally given. We believe it is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We believe in the unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Godhead. We believe there is only one God, who is sovereign in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal return.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and are, therefore, in right relationship with God. We believe the justification of the sinner is by the grace of God through faith alone.

We believe the Gospel of Jesus is the centrepiece of God’s redemptive plan for his beloved humanity. We preach the Gospel uncompromisingly to everyone for it leads to transformed, Christ-like lives. Our church will be culturally relevant so that our gospel-ministry engages and connects with our context and setting.

We want the Holy Spirit to lead us in all aspects of life. This means waiting upon the Spirit for guidance and depending on him live a life that glorifies Jesus. We seek to use the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the benefit of others in our community.

We worship Jesus with our all – our time, abilities, thought-life, actions and resources. We seek to worship and pray to Jesus with the passion he deserves, while remaining true to our God-given personalities. Our goal is to see Jesus glorified and exalted through joyful praises and intimate personal worship.

We are a Church that enjoys doing life together in authentic relationships. We aim to love each other in ways that are genuine and practical, knowing it is more blessed to give than to receive. We want to be far more than a friendly church; we want to be people that are warm, kind friends.

We want to make and mature Christ-followers. Jesus called us to know him, to love him and follow him – and he then commissioned us to tell the world about him. We will challenge all to actively pursuing a deep and intimate relationship with Jesus, where we mature in many areas of our lives. We will all be discipled and then in turn pour out our lives into other believers in the Lord.
